African Things produced a custom batch of 50 branded backpacks for the Better Life Program for the African Rural Woman, designed as practical, high-visibility souvenirs for a company event. The project paired durable, everyday-use backpacks with the organization's logo and messaging to create a giveaway that guests could actually use long after the event ended.

Each backpack was manufactured with a structured multi-compartment design, featuring a spacious main zip compartment, a secondary front-zip pocket, and an accessible lower utility pocket for smaller items. Reinforced padded straps, an adjustable sternum strap, and sturdy top carry handles give the bags the comfort and durability needed for daily commuting, travel, or fieldwork, making them a genuinely useful keepsake rather than a throwaway giveaway.

The order was produced in two colourways — a bold magenta pink and a muted olive/charcoal grey — giving the organization flexibility to distribute bags across different audiences at the event while keeping a consistent, recognizable brand identity. Each bag carried the organization's full name printed boldly across the top panel, paired with a custom circular emblem on the front pocket featuring the Better Life Program's silhouette logo, tribal-pattern border, and the tagline "Uplifting You." The clean, high-contrast print application ensured the branding remained sharp, legible, and durable through daily use.
