It is no news that the COVID 19 global pandemic has started having a negative economic impact on the Nigerian economy. This calls for our collective concerns especially for most Nigerians who could barely feed themselves.
The government’s lockdown on major economic activities to curb the further spread of the virus is on the verge of creating hunger and untold hardship in the lives of its citizenry who barely live on one dollar per day as they observe the sit-at-home order.
If this is not quickly addressed, the war against COVID 19 would be a lost battle as hunger would be a fast killer than the virus itself.
United Against COVID 19, is a group made up of individuals and corporate bodies concerned about this untold hardship and hunger that has started to ravage the Nigerian populace.
We ask that you contribute to this initiative by donating whatever you can to purchase and give food and personal hygiene items to the economically vulnerable in our society. Currently, over 50 people have donated to the cause and we believe with more donations, we can touch more lives. Our target is to cater for 10,000 individuals in 5 cities and communities, in partnership with SPAR Nigeria as a packaging and distribution channel.
